Your health, your pregnancy and covid-19

If you think you're pregnant or you might be pregnant, the thoughts and emotions inside you are probably swirling, especially during this global pandemic. But you don't need to be afraid -- we're here to listen and help and provide or direct you to every resource you'll be needing in the next several months.

Before you make any life-changing decision, please connect with us:

call 209-383-4700

or message Alpha Pregnancy Help Center on Facebook

or connect with us on Instagram @alphaphcmerced.

Your health, your pregnancy, your future and your baby's future are our main concern.

We are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19, commonly known as the Coronavirus.  Our doors are open Mon-Thurs, 9am to 5pm until further notice; however, we are not accepting walk-ins at this time.

Please message or call for an appointment for a pregnancy test, ultrasound or baby/maternity items.  Our services are still free and confidential,

and our compassion is unlimited.

As an added precaution, no children under the age of 16 will be allowed at the clinic, and only one friend or relative is allowed to accompany a client for her appointment.

Parenting classes and the Surrendering the Secret post-abortion support group are postponed.  We apologize for this inconvenience.

Be assured, while continuing to see patients at our clinic, all necessary screening precautions are in place.  Though the threat is currently low for most of the population in the United States, we are committed to ensuring the safest possible environment at our clinic.

Your safety and health are our top priority, and we have adopted recommended precautions from the CDC, Alpha's Medical Director and other agencies.

DO YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS?

  1. FEVER - The average body temperature is 98.6,  but a rise in temperature is not classified as a fever until a thermometer reads at 100.4 or higher.
  2. COUGH- COVID-19 is often characterized by a dry cough.
  3. SHORTNESS OF BREATH- If you are having difficulty taking full, deep breaths, or feel that your breaths do not give you enough oxygen, you may be experiencing shortness of breath.
  4. In the past month have you been in contact with any individual who was confirmed or suspected to have COVID-19?
  5. Have you traveled internationally or domestically to an area with known community-spread in the past month?

If you have an appointment and answered yes to any of these questions,

please call us at 209-383-4700, so we can determine your situation and possible health risks.  Upon assessment, for the safety of other patients being served at our clinic, it may be necessary to schedule your appointment at Alpha Pregnancy Help Center for a later date.

We are a licensed community medical clinic with the California Department of Public Health, but we are NOT able to test for COVID-19.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call us.  We understand how uncertain these times are for everyone, and we are here to support YOU.

Thank you for joining with us in reducing exposure to COVID-19 (the coronavirus.)  Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
